click the link. download the playlist. it features the following jrock joy.

Srai's Genki Jrock Mix:
1. Shonen Knife - Riding On The Rocket. slap happy power pop in attempted english.
2. Miyavi - Are You Ready To Rock? delightfully retarded and catchy. youll find yourself rooting for meev as he attempts to pronounce the word "rock."
3. The Brilliant Green - The Lucky Star. the brilliant green are widely worshipped as a universal musical messiah.
4. Aya - Rabbi Doll. when grunge died, its refugees became ayas helper monkeys. krist novoselic and kim thayil are now on aya's payroll. see, people? its like your music. except in japanese.
5. Buck-Tick - Sid Vicious On The Beach. weirdness. your heart will soar as atsushi sakurai attempts to say "just a fuckin class hero on the beach." i love buck-tick.
6. Plastic Tree - May Day. enjoyable, if ryutarous singing voice doesnt put you to sleep.
7. SADS - Tokyo. this is kiyoharus band. kiyoharu is a skinny mass of tattoos who has a spiff singing voice.
8. Shiina Ringo - Byoushou Public. old school ringo doing weird things with her voice.
9. Cowpers - Bone Machine (Pixies cover). "youre the bone machine" in japanese is "anata wa bone machine desu." these guys dont seem to be saying that. they, um, seem to have made up their own words.
10. L'arc-En-Ciel - hyde and friends make sad noises for almost five minutes.
11. BBQ Chickens - Joousamamonogatari. this, my friends, is a special surprise bonus track.

Current Mood:in pain
Rob recently informed me that geffen is releasing a "best of the nirvana box set" album, called "sliver".
love has gotten f. bean involved saying, "we're getting her into the family business"... which just about led me to vomit for about an hour.

Subject:I have sooooooooooooooooo many mix tapes!
Time:10:32 am
Current Mood:amusedamused
When I made mix tapes I used to get really creative and make covers for all of them... this tape has a glow-in-the-dark sticker of Dracula on the front and it is titled "Peace Love Happiness Around the World"... it is by far one of my scariest mix tapes of all time, brace yourselves kiddies, this is one horrible mix:

Side A:
"?" by The Bee Gees
"Turn Back Time" by Aqua
"Frozen" by Madonna
"Spiderwebs" by No Doubt
"If You Really Want Me" by Robyn
(random dance song left untitled)
"?" by Everything But the Girl
"Dreamin'" by Selena
"Kiss the Rain" by Billy Meyers
"Brick" by (I didn't write it down, but wasn't it Ben Folds Five?)
"My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion (wow... today I would've killed myself)
"Amnesia" by Chumbawumba

Side B:
"I'll Be Missin' You" by Puff Daddy (again wow...*finds lighter to burn tape*)
"Where Do You Go" by No Mercy
"Weird" by Hanson
"I Want You Back" by NSync
(random song unlisted)
"Say A Little Prayer For You" by ?
"?" by Janet Jackson
"The Boy Is Mine" by Brandy and Monica
(random song unlisted)
"Torn" by Natalie Imbruglia
"Uninvited" (I didn't write it down but, wasn't that an Alanis Morrisette song?)
"The Way" by Fastball

And this one is one of my transitional mix tapes, so it has a few good songs, but a plethra of very scary, very sucky songs too, brace yourselves, this is another one headed for the flames:

Side A:
"Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden
"Shimmer" by Fuel
(untitled song)
"Small Things" by Blink 182
(untitled song)
"Heavy" by Collective Soul
"Go Away" by Gloria Estephan
"You Can Do It" by No Doubt
"Freak Out" by B*Witched
"Walk of Life" by Spice Girls
"The Hardest Thing" by 98 degrees
"I'll Be Your Everything" by Youngstown
"Candy" by Mandy Moore
"You Drive Me Crazy" by Britney Spears
"Mambo #5" by Lou Bega

Side B:
"Every Monday" by Marvolous 3
"Barrel of a Gun 4321" by Guster
"?" by Celine Dion
"Down" by Stone Temple Pilots
"Shake Your Bon Bon" by Ricky Martin
"Chemicals Between Us" by Bush
"Change The World" by Chris Cornell
(a few Nirvana songs that I don't list, it just says NIRVANA on 3 lines)
"?" by Smashmouth
(random dance song)
"Tonight is the Night" by ?
"I Need To Know" by Marc Anthony
"Music of My Heart" by NSync featuring Gloria Estephan
"Sunday Morning" by No Doubt
"Almost Doesn't Count" by Brandy
Falling Star- Showoff(I don't know which is the title and which is the artist)

Ironically enough, the backside of the song list says "Kurt Cobain" in big letters as if it were the title of the tape... OY!

Yeah...I'm on another Lacuna Coil kick. What of it?
I managed to make this tape using only songs that were available as mp3s on my computer. I really wanted "Sex Type Thing," by STP on there...but it wasn't ripped, and I couldn't "Core." I'm pissed about that...also pissed that Side B isn't sporting as much variety as Side A. I'll get over it.
